It's actually where I first discovered him. Kind of a minor role, but I instantly thought "WHO is THAT???"
Maybe I'm not as innocent as I'd like to be...

I heard an ad for it today. Did you see the movie The Day After Tomorrow? The girl, Emmy Rossum, who played the 'love interest' of the main character is playing Christine in Phantom. I didn't realize she was a singer. The producer, Joel Schumacher, said that they were just about to sign someone for the role, when he met Emmy at a party. They were chatting and he asked her if she sang, and she mentioned having sung at the Metropolitan Opera in various parts since she was a little girl! He told her to come for an audition, and they hired her. I saw a clip of the movie, and her voice is awesome!!

I'm not a hugh fan of Chardonnay, but I have tried one that I like. It's from Columbia Crest, a winery up in WA, I believe. Yep, IIRC, that's where we had our Board meeting when the national association I worked for met in Seattle. One of the sponsors paid for a private concert by Gary Morris. He'd just come from playing Jean Val jean.
I don't care much for most Virginia wines, but the Governor's Reserve Chardonnay from Williamsburg Winery isn't bad.
Best Chardonnay I ever had tho was in Monterey. Don't remember the restaurant or what we had (it's been 15 years). But we had the "Edna Valley Chardonnay" from a winery in San Luis Obispo. Had it again at the Brodmoor in Colorado Springs a couple of years later.
I've not seen it for sale tho.

Oh yeah! I saw a preview of the scene where they sing "Masquerade", one of my favorites. It is just gorgeous!

Isn't he playing The Phantom in the movie version of Phantom of the Opera? Yes. Local reviewer said Butler got the role for his looks, not his voice. But then again this was the reviewer that didn't like LOTR.
I'm pretty sure Phantom opened today. We'll probaly see it, althought it's not one of our favorite stage shows.

Never seen that version. I've watched the 1925 Lon Chaney and parts of the 1943 Claude Rains versions.
