I heard an ad for it today. Did you see the movie The Day After Tomorrow? The girl, Emmy Rossum, who played the 'love interest' of the main character is playing Christine in Phantom. I didn't realize she was a singer. The producer, Joel Schumacher, said that they were just about to sign someone for the role, when he met Emmy at a party. They were chatting and he asked her if she sang, and she mentioned having sung at the Metropolitan Opera in various parts since she was a little girl! He told her to come for an audition, and they hired her. I saw a clip of the movie, and her voice is awesome!!
