I don't typically frequent fan sites either, so I know kinda what Jen means.
Typically, anyway, I fall for a character - not the actor himself, though I admit to liking to look at some. Gerard Butler's at the top of that list...
But...I dunno, some of the fan stuff just is a little weird.
Came across an interesting tidbit just now. I'm cleaning up some old e-mails from the computer I had before this one, and there was an older article about JK Rowling. I dunno why I kept it since at the time I was ignoring the books, but...anyway, she mentions that she first writes everything longhand. Yikes! Can you imagine??
She must go through a LOT of pens and notebooks!
I wonder if that's still true? If so, it makes me feel a bit better about being kind of a luddite part of the time, though I'm doing more computer writing now.
*sigh*
I'll just go hide out in my spider hole...
Oh, don't! I freely admit I enjoyed looking through some of the galleries there!
But it's Faramir I'm in love with, that's all... ;-)
They left me allllllll alone...
I'm here...
I can't write longhand, it seems such a waste of time since I have to type it in later anyway.
Huh, got the chapter I thought I'd never finish, finished.
I'm stuck right after the first chapter. I need to just make myself write and not worry about it being perfect right off.
But instead I'm listening to anime music and FReeping...
Teresa's book came! It's the original ugly cover, though. Ah well...still not toooo bad. I made a lot of mistakes in the formatting, but I guess I wasn't really expecting perfection. Just wish I'd been slightly more patient.
Just starting your story...
I'm sure she'll adore it!
Anime music sounds lovely. Hope you have a little fun with my story.
I'm not a hugh fan of Chardonnay, but I have tried one that I like. It's from Columbia Crest, a winery up in WA, I believe. But then I like White Zinfandel, so that tells you something about MY tastes! ;o)
So glad to hear Joshua is OK. Those keyboard drawer/shelves are so flimsy! You put any pressure on them and they're gone!
Hmmm. How much would they cost in England, and would she be willing to add a couple more to the order? That would be a fun treat for the kids.
I was there this afternoon. Even got into the 12 items or less line with only one person ahead of me! I must be livin right!
The cashier didn't have a Southern accent, but she sure acted like a Southern gal. Kept calling folks honey, and even wished me a Merry Christmas before I had a chance to say it to her!
Isn't he playing The Phantom in the movie version of Phantom of the Opera?
The big thing with the cost is the shipping, most likely. What I'd recommend is check out Amazon.co.uk. Lots of my friends got their orders of Prisoner of Azkaban that way, back when it came out three months earlier over there...
She's going to absolutely LOVE it, warts and all! You have the opportunity to fix it now, at your leisure.
Evening Rosie; congrats, your little sister will be trilled with it. While you may see what you think is wrong with it, she will only see what is right with it. That was quite a wonderful present to her. I doubt many others have ever written a story for or received a story from a sibling.
I believe so! Not sure when that's coming out...
Most of the actors I DO go gaga for have not only looks but a great voice / accent as well...he has those in spades. I've really enjoyed the movies I've seen with him in 'em, though I was really depressed at how small a part he had in "Reign of Fire" - admittedly a movie with plenty of other eye candy.
