Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Most of them. If we'd gotten the team I wanted, this wouldn't be an issue... I know one team has all its people pulling their weight. Guess I'm lucky to have one partner who's competent.

Rosie...what color are you painting it? :)Not off white...heh. I bought the paint before I knew I was gonna sell the house, so...
It's a very, very pale blue. Called "Song Blue".

Good morning!
May hear back from the realtor today, and if I don't, I'm calling. Scary stuff, that.
Today marks three weeks from Epiphany - and from MY Epiphany. Pretty amazing how much has happened in the short time since, when you really think about it!
Tam is driving me crazy because he wants to play fetch every waking hour of every day. When the dogs were here, he couldn't bring out the little pompom balls he uses because the dogs would shred them instantly, but now...he's found he can get away with it. I threw it over and over last night while reading before bed, and finally turned out the light. This morning, the second I rolled out of bed, he was sitting next to it with his ball at his feet staring at me with a maniacal look in his eyes. The cat ain't right. But maybe once the novelty wears off again he'll get bored...
Mmmm...omelet with lotsa hot sauce.

I'll just take the honey straight up, thank you very much. :-D I don't mind the Robitussin straight up. It's one shot and you're done. It may make you shiver with disgust, it's so bad, but you drink a couple of glasses of water and you're fine. That stuff you put in hot tea, though, just goes on and on and you gotta try to keep choking it down.
Never again!

And he confirmed what I thought, that we could have been severely penalized if we hadn't found him out...Good for y'all! Sounds like the team you have left is a pretty cohesive group!

Now that we've gotten rid of Mr. Plagiarist, it's obvious that another member of our team is incompetent and lazy;Oops! Guess I spoke too soon!

Hopefully the corners aren't hideous...even with the spackling and sanding and sanding and sanding...they're not as even as the ones in a typical room. I doubt it'll be horribly noticeable, but it won't be perfect!
Still, considering there was bulging, busted fake wood paneling in there when I moved in...it's a vast improvement.

Good morning!
I heard from the people who have the dogs again. She called last night. She had tried to send some pictures but they didn't go through for some reason. Said she had gotten a whole bunch of Christmas stuffed animals for them from Petsmart since they were on sale - I could hear squeakers in the background. ;-) Guess they're doing well!
*snif* I'm really glad that worked out how it did, though I do miss 'em...some of the time, at least!

Well, we like the incompetent and lazy guy, he's just not really pulling his own weight...
Mornin', all. Thursday. Ugh. The bright side is I think I can take tomorrow off.
