Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well, off to leverage my synergy and stuff. Have a good day everyone!

Yeah...just to talk.
That's what I miss most. I still sometimes get the odd feeling that I've talked something over with her when I haven't...or feel like I should ask her about something and see what she thinks, but I can't.
Seriously, though...though I know I complain more here than I should, a lot of the things I drag in here are things I would have talked over with her in the past. It's a huge help for me.
I'm also wayyyyy closer to Dad than I ever was before, but that has taken time and I still don't talk to him about a lot of things. Still, it's something to treasure. Before, he was almost just on the periphery of my existence, if ya know what I mean.

I make a darn good omelet, when I don't bust the thing flipping it...
And I get to have 'em on days other than Monday and Wednesday! ;-)
Seriously, though, they're a great thing to made for breakfast just because they're soooooo fast. Almost as quick as pouring milk over dry cereal.

I'm almost thinking of calling the realtor today. I figure there must be LOTS of preliminary stuff to be filled out before they ever view the house. And it'll be done - the house, I mean - by Monday.
Hm.

I know what you mean. Dad's had to fill in a lot of places for me. And it's good that we got to know each other better.

*Hugs* for Rosie.
Let me know if you give the realtor a call!
Ack, it's my favorite little sister's birthday and I didn't send her anything, not even a card.

A Hobbit lass is never late, Corin Stormhands.
She arrives precisely when she means to.
Or at least, when the boss finally ain't lookin'. ;-D

He looked at me rather appalled and said "That might be a problem" and left right then to AutoZone and got some brake fluid. Filled it up to the line...no more brake light!Well now you know! ;o) Ain't auto mechanics fun?

Hope I didn't miss anyone pingage wise...(George Costanza..."Don't you know about PINGAGE???")
I've put this off for far too long. I'm packing up to leave the office. Taking Luke to thedoctor this afternoon (he's complaining about his ears). Wife is taking Nana. One of them shingles is too darn close to her eye.
Wife's sister is here to take care of Nana and theboys. Nana chose to wait until yesterday to start giving us the list of things the sister doesn't do right. It's not like thewife wasn't stressed about getting stuff together anyway. So my word was "you HAVE TO get away." I'm a good husband, I am.
~Sometime~ this evening we'll drive to my Mom's. On to Kentucky tomorrow.
I'm taking the laptop, but Internet connections could be "iffy." I'll check in when I can.
Otherwise, I'll see y'all Sunday.
