Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I vote 'Yes' on a brand new "Green Dragon".
Been digging in RotK and Simillarian again since release of EE.
Can we start at New Year's?

A couple of days ago, I was wondering if you'd get back into it if George Allen ran for President. Faster than you can say "New York carpet baggin', fat ankled, alternative lifestyled in the closet witch..."

That's when having sibs with you helps! They can chatter and sing to keep you awake. It's Interstate most of the way, isn't it? Maybe we could make plans to meet up there, and have supper before the concert! They COULD chatter...but in practice they usually go to sleep, leaving me struggling. Even when I tell them to keep talking. Grrr!
But for Lunasa...I think we could probably make an exception. They are just...amazingly good. And they'd likely be wired afterwards...hmm...
Maybe we COULD do this. Looking at the directions, there are quite a few non-Interstate miles, but no I-89. Woo-hoo! I can handle that, I think. Only catch is that it's during the week. I don't imagine I'll be of much use the next day if we really did this.

Good morning... nope. Not Christmas... no poking at the packages!

Ya know, it's sad when 2 degrees feels kinda warm... Yes, it's a symptom of advanced Hypothermia!
To: LinnieBeth
I'll put you on the list then!
I'd like to start right after Christmas, many of us will have more time to read during our week off... but since we are starting with the Hobbit, you can catch up when you like... or start when we hit LoTR.
To: RosieCotton
At least someone got it.... my honey said "Honey, what are you talking about?"
To: HairOfTheDog
;)
I found several of my fleece pull-overs last night! Had 'em packed in the closet and I'd just about forgotten I had 'em. Soooo much warmer than my other sweaters!
I'm a happy camper.
