Sweetie, remembering you and Em today with prayer.

President Bush laying the wreath at Arlington right now.
I am thinking what it would have looked like with Kerry doing this. Shudder.
Thank You, Lord!

It has turned into a beautiful kind of windy day today. It was cloudy earlier, but the winds came up and brought the sun with it. It's a beautiful day for golf.
We'll be going to the courthouse in a little bit to begin the Veterans Day festivities.

Did you notice the difference a bit ago when MSNBC and CNN were showing arafat being loaded into the plane....with a French honor guard, no less...
..at the same time, FOX was showing our guys fighting in the streets and trying to bring freedom to Irag.....
..It was a glaring difference.--no arafat honoring.
Indeed, what an insult to all military if Kerry did wreathe laying on Veteran's Day....
...who knows, he has such contempt, he might have ignored Veteran's Day or tried to abolish it.

Veterans Day is a school holiday and so I'll be going to school tomorrow. I want to take the teacher we work with information on Gary Sinese's project of providing supplies for Iraqi school children to see if the teachers here would be interested.
My dad (stepdad) was in the Marines and he wore his Marines golf cap yesterday while golfing. My grandpa was gassed in WWI and won a Purple Heart which is one of my mothers most proud possessions.
We owe our soldiers everything we have; watching the footage today is almost unbearable as danger lurks around every corner. Godspeed to them all.

AND when the Sgt. backwards walked the wreath with OUR President in tow, the sgt did the moving of the leaves, etc., OUR President W turned his head slightly towards him and you could see 'thank you' on his movements of his lips.
There he was in the middle of something so important and still said 'thank you', impressed the heck out of me. His folks sure raised him right, huh?

Question. Dan Rather, CBS. Bush and the National Guard. CBS said a 'investigation' would be after the election on the forgery of the 'official letter'. Election over. Where is the investigation.

You know what I like? Whenever there is another speaker besides the President, when that speaker is done W always says to him "Good job!" It doesn't matter if it is a Supreme Court justice or a boy scout, Tony Blair or the teacher of the year, they all get the same praise. I look for it after every speaker with the President.

Went to gd's grade school Veterans celebration. It was very good.
Each student was given an American flag to wave. Some had Lone Star and US flags.
Dulles High School ROTC performed. NeeNee was concerned they were going to shoot at us. :)
Program started off with the presentation of the Flags. Pledge of Allegiance, and the Star Spangled Banner.
Grade school children sang other patriotic songs. We were all given the words to the songs as we came.
2 Army officers spoke to the crowd. The senior officer said at least 3 or 4 times "It's a great day to be a soldier in the United States".
A young man played Taps and the crowd had a minute of silence.
I was so impressed with all the respect this public grade school gave to the Veterans.

Beats me re: the letter. NO one is sufficiently motivated to check it out maybe.. now the swift boat vets ... another story. They will persevere.

Last night we watched 60 Minutes and saw that Dan Rather did a story about "The Incredibles" and Pixar animation. Mrs. Mulliner thinks it's an indication of how far his star has fallen that he was assigned to that story instead of anything remotely political or newsworthy.
To: Mr. Mulliner
My guess is that Rather MAKES the assignments.
On that note, I'm outta here. I've shortened my planned trip, and I'll be back tomorrow evening.
Play nicely in my absence.
