We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
It is said, the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist. Arafat has now become a good terrorist.
In Fallujah:
United States forces have been hitting terrorist positions in the southern part of this city with air strikes and precision artillery bombardment. This is said to be in preparation for a ground assault in this sector.
Three US soldiers have died, and 17 more wounded in the last 24 hours of fighting.
The Iraqi commander on scene has reported the capture of "hostage slaugherhouses."
The northern neighborhood of Jolan has been turned over to Iraqi forces by the Marines.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
It's rainy and gray here too so I probably won't get a lot done outside. I do have a couple projects to work on, but probably will stick close to home and finish a Wodehouse novel.
go to peanuts.com they got a good snoopy strip of snoopy talkin about quaffing rootbeers with bill mauldin
No more Weekend at Bernie's I see. For some reason I have this urge to hand out candy and sweets.

Good Morning. I had a full 9 hours of sleep last night. I'm a little groggy, but my caffiene levels aren't up to par yet.
34 degrees here this morning. It's supposed to get colder for tomorrow. I guess it's November in the midwest.
I just dropped off my gd at her school. There must have been 50+ signs with pictures and names of Veterans. They have a mound in front of the school and they are being displayed there. Lots of flags and hearts hanging from the trees.
They are having a music program at 9:00 to honor the Veterans. I think I may go if it doesn't rain. Very cloudy and misty out right now.
I recently got this cool little radio I clip onto my belt and use with earphones so last night I was in bed listening to whatever I could tune in and heard two discussions of note.
The first was about the election from a guy claiming the election was stolen. He was citing about the same information as the thread that got zotted last night. Keith Olbermann has been citing the same information and Ann Coulter responded. I don't think we've heard the end of it.
The other discussion was an interview with a British author who says that Conservatism is actually a world-wide movement that essentially began with the Goldwater campaign. Europe feels threatened by it and that explains their reaction to our election.
I plan to thank our vets ehre at work today. Last year one of my woman students was always a veteran - she was a bit taken aback when I thanked her and the calss applauded. But she was also very happy with the recognition. HOB
My dad was Army, in the Asian/Pacific theater....
..and hubby was Viet Nam era, Navy.
VETS, WE HONOR YOU!!!!
And to all our Vets here on this Thread, God bless you!
Good Morning Everyone. Kind of cloudy here today. Hopefully the rain holds off till after the Veterans Day Festivities are over. Roomey is honoring the Military Members, past and present. I had the honor of typing the speech in large, bold print. It's pretty good.
Today I say THANKS fellows and gals for wearing the uniform of this great nation. You've stepped forward for what you believe and were willing to give it your all.
To people who don't understand how behind our military was at the advent of WWII...when my dad finished basic he was sent to Ft. Snelling, Minnesota. It was a WOOD STOCKADE fort, they still had mules, and my dad was paid in stacks of silver dollars!
My dad had a few months of enlistment to go when Pearl Harbor was attacked, and he remained in the Army for the duration. He was in North Africa and then Italy and won two Bronze Stars.
Thank you to all of our vets, and thanks to my dad, who would, I think, be very proud of our current miltary.
...He's very proud of our country, proud of his service and a huge President Bush fan.
...He always votes and wanted to do so in person, not absentee--we did early voting....
..so I took him and he hobbled up and waited in line (I found him a chair)....
..and he voted, but was darn upset they didn't have a little I voted sticker to give him.
He was 19 when he enlisted, just a skinny kid.
There are 19 year olds fighting today and fighting hard.
We should ALL say prayers for the troops of present and past, the deceased and the living, I for one owe many thanks to them and I thank them for what they have done for me and my family. May God Bless each and every one of them.
'Ringo ain't that ugly'---- but ain't far from looking like Arafart so, can we say 'plenty ugly'?
Very cool, for a place that I had to fight to get Fox News on one of 5 TV's.
Ohhh man! I might be needing another tee-shirt project.
Nice story about your dad (sheesh somebody stole his books and clothes!?)
My dad and f-i-l were both on ships in the Pacific. God Bless all our veterans, especially our VietNam vets.
