Last night we watched 60 Minutes and saw that Dan Rather did a story about "The Incredibles" and Pixar animation. Mrs. Mulliner thinks it's an indication of how far his star has fallen that he was assigned to that story instead of anything remotely political or newsworthy.

My guess is that Rather MAKES the assignments.
On that note, I'm outta here. I've shortened my planned trip, and I'll be back tomorrow evening.
Play nicely in my absence.

I don't think I have watched 60 minutes for 20 years !!!
I understand the movie that Rather reviewed/etc is excellent. on my "list" to see. with about 8 others at this point. The campaign activities have cut severely into my "movie-ing"
despite my lack of normal TV watching I did get an email indicating there would be a PBS broadcast /natl geographic variety on Arlington. I did see that. I have been to Arlington about 6 times & love it dearly... I learned a few things I did not know from special.. but drat the commercials.
RE: all the controversy on Saving Private Ryan. For the life of me , I cannot understand how any intelligent, sane person can enjoy a movie on network TV with the continual interruptions of commercials.
for 3 dollars you can rent the DVD & enjoy it with good pix/sound & no breaks. I own the DVD - it is an excellent movie & I say to those who don't want the violence.. you need to see it. It is reality of war. Those of us who support our president & this war need to understand the severe sacrifice our men/women make. This flick could be Iraq now. Same situations. same injuries. same brutal deaths.
