The battle for Fallujah
Current status, from Fox News:
American and Iraqi National Forces have battled to the center of Fallujah.
At this point, 12 Americans are dead, 25 wounded.
Roughly 70% of the city is considered under allied control.
Terrorists have struck back in other areas in Iraq, including abucting three members of the Iraqi PM's own family, according to reports.
There are no accurate counts of terrorist casualties.
In other news...
Fifteen years ago today, the Berlin Wall came down. This event began the shattering of communist dreams in Europe. Nowhere is that more evident than with CNN, America's own Communist News Network. Wolf Blitzer actually publsihed a piece, available on CNN's website, the laments the fall of The Wall.
No kidding.
Some excerpts:

And while the West was accustomed to dealing with communists, dealing with terrorists was a different matter.

It also amazes me that so many voters managed to convince themselves that a rusted out Model T actually WAS a new SUV. Or at least an acceptable alternative. Luckily they weren't in the majority.

Apparently some Dem talking head the other night said that the red states now govern the country, but it's the blue states that pay more in taxes.
Actually, the opposite is true. When you calculate which states pay most in taxes and which states receive federal tax dollars, the blue state that pays most is New York which comes in at #25. All states above that give more than receive and all are red states.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, ungrateful Dems.
He hasn't got a clue.
It is for the best; she needs to have supervision and a very structured environment for a while.
I'm home briefly; will leave soon to go to her apartment to pick up clothes, books, shampoo & other necessities to bring to her.
