Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Smith has a voice that will remind you of Allison Krauss- very clear and sweet. She sings in a singer/songwriter-country-folk style with a hint of bluegrass. Her single "Come to Jesus" is amazing. She did a cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene" that puts Dolly to shame. You'd like her.

Thanks for the FReepmail, LF.
I'll pass it along to my friend in the morning. She is really excited about fixing it for her dad.

Do you have the new AKUS? It's on my wish list for Christmas.

Tell her to err on the side of "as little Splenda as possible". I always use a little less than the full measure. The lemon juice takes up the slack and provides sweetening. Some folks get a bad aftertaste w/ Splenda.

At the punchdown end, the whites always go first. W/bl, bl, w/orange, orange, w/green, green, w/brown, brown.
On the RJ-45 end it gets goofy. I resort to cheat sheets at that point. :-)

I don't have either of her last two - New Favorite or the latest one.
I've gotten her CDs used when I can...and they're hard to find used. Gee...wonder why? ;-)
I do like her earlier stuff better, for the most part, I admit. The stuff that's a bit more acoustic, that is. A good friend of mine introduced me to her music with those albums, too...so there's a bit of sentiment involved as well.

I try not to have to remember anything more complicated than "blacks inside" for the power supply. Mostly I just take a real good look at how the computer was before I started messing with it.

My favorite for phone connectors was always the "Christmas and Halloween" device. Of the four wires, red and green go to one line, black and orange to the other...
But then again, I am easily amused.

Speaking of babies, I'm still dealing with kids here myself. *sigh*
Let me wrestle them to bed. Hope to be back soon....

Unfortunately not, but thank you! I'm writing in the "just make up random things" section. When I revise, I will have to research things like plants. Why do I make my heroine a botanical wonder when I can't seem to keep a spiderplant happy?

Evening All - just time for quick post and run BUT:
2J - Thanks for posting the RC's letter.
Hair-Congrats to Sonya and Tim. Welcome to the newest freeper - Megan.
Corin - re: the Corin Christmas Play CD. Does it have an extended edition? Outtakes? How it was made? Soundtrack? Seriously, glad it went well. Howabout bringing one to ShootMoot?
