Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Ok, share the pain... an index of the first six chapters of my drivel (I'm having such horrible fun writing this but bits of it are total crap! Yay!) is
here. Let me know if you can't get any of the files.

My plan for tomorrow: Sleep in. Write. Design a major portion of the team programming project. Well...I'm with you on part of that...
I'm skipping the jam. I tired. And I want to watch anime anyway.
Tomorrow I'm going to get up, go out to the house, make sourdough pancakes, and then eventually go to da movies with my sister and Jim. All the rest of the kids are off on a youth retreat this weekend, and Bilbo went along as a chaperone, so it'll be rather quiet. Good time for writing, most likely!

That sounds like so much fun!
I am only 700 words from today's goal. Which will make me only about 2k behind. Wow. I'm happy.
How far are you in the anime?

So, not to song #2 yet. I like the second song and that's where the plot starts again.
But I like "Myself" best. It's easiest to sing.

Myself is the one that gets stuck in my head a LOT. That and the first closer...what was that one called? The one she sang at her try-out.

It's a funny movie. You wouldn't want to watch it with your younger siblings tho...

Heh...most of 'em (except the youngest) have seen it...and said I shouldn't watch it with them because they'd be embarrassed because I'd be embarrassed by parts. I guess I'm more sensitive to some stuff than the boys are.
I'm prepared to find a little of it offensive, but most of it funny, if a bit toooo true to life...

OK! Hit my word count and then some for today, so now it's time for dessert and an episode or two - guilt free!

Oh, yeah, "New Future". Good song. But you'll like "Eternal Snow", if only because it gets played over and over and over and over. There are three different people who sing it in the show - I like the "Route L" version even over Mitsuki's.
Ok. so. Tonight. Write more, or read, or watch something? Hmmm...

Well...I was gonna watch more than one episode, but after staying up late and getting up pretty early this morning, I'm sleepy! Think I'll hit the hay pretty soon here...
AND I get to turn off my alarm clock before I do! Woo-hoo! Of course...that'll probably mean sleeping in until six thirty, but it's something. I'm not good at sleeping in. ;-)

Eh, just refuse to get out of bed. I enjoy the "mostly awake" dreams more than anything else about Saturday morning.
Oh, and when you do get a chance, I'd like your opinion on my story. In freepmail if you want, I don't really care. I know it's crap but there are a few scenes I'm really, really proud of.
