Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Maybe her friend the nice oddball could critique for her?Ooh, yeah, that could work, too!
They aren't friends yet...but she'll come around. He's darling, if a little kooky.
It's a drag falling for your own characters.

Don't I know it, though.
I had an interesting time last night... writing a flashback that without realizing it, showed me something about my main character I hadn't realized before. It was kind of cool.

OK, it's definitely Friday.
The guys are talking like pirates...started out as a discussion of software piracy and went downhill from there...

Heh... we knew it was Friday because nobody came to bug us.
Mmm... some of us went to the Thai restaurant down the street for lunch. Sweet and spicy sesame chicken... mmmm...
Now I'm home. Today will not be a homework day. No, I will see how caught-up I can get...

Do you think Galadriel would stoop to weaving a cloak for a horse?

Can HE take Luke? I tried to respond earlier but my computer locked up and the IT guy spent 3 hours working on it.
Actually, Jr. would prefer to go with his girlfriend.

Is there a chat view tonite?
I don't have rehearsal and I'll be finishing up re-organizing the office.

Placemarker for later. I'm heading out of the office now.
Love those ponies! That's Cyn & Fatty right? Where's Bay?
Corin - glad you saw Office Space finally. The "Oh!-face" line cracks me up every time, as stupid as it is. ;-D
And in other news, Scott's guilty and Arafat is truly dead and buried. YIPPEE!
Be back later on....

I like Thai food. Mmmm... There's a Thai restaurant in town, but for dinners, it's pretty pricey. I've not been there for lunch - maybe one of these days. We went there with Ben and his fiancee to celebrate their engagement - just the older kids. We each ordered something different and then just put the plates in the middle so we could try a little of everything.
Apologies if I've told that story a zillion times. My mind is going...
Ya know, since we already had a music session last night, I'm half thinking of skipping the jam tonight and instead staying home to write and watch anime. I want to at least get to a point where my character realizes the right guy isn't so bad, though it'll be awhile before she falls for him. But the last time she saw him she was mean. I hate to leave him like that, poor dear.

Maybe not Galadriel...but Celeborn's gotta have something to do during those cold lonely nights while she's off looking into mirrors...

Yeah, I need anime... last night was the first in a week, so fortunately we got five eps rather than the usual four. And I need to write and my plots are slowing down right at the moment.
Heh, guess you got "hooked" on FMwS after all. Does the fact that it has one of the two cat-boys in all of anime (as far as I know) help or hinder?

Yeah - That's Cyn and the pony.... Bay was off somewhere... the mares play little nit-picky games that he doesn't get into.

Anyway....I moved the toaster today.

I can't even imagine something like that happening here! I was reminded of the Wellstone funeral.
