It was nearly the end of the line for an inquisitive cat who crawled into a washing machine and was put onto spin. Eight-week-old Milo disappeared from Ginny Troth's house in Worcestershire, and decided to take a cat-nap in the machine, which Ginny switched on.
She suddenly realised where the missing moggy might be halfway through the cycle, and switched the machine off.
Luckily, Milo was alive, if soggy. He was taken to the vet, dried off, and now seems to be much better.
Milo was bought as a present for Ginny's 16-year-old daughter Bonnie.
It looks like Mrs Troth has learned her lesson.
She says: "I won't switch on the washing machine until I know where he is. We've even found him trying to get in the dishwasher."

The wash cycle isn't bad, it's the final spin cycles that could do serious damage.
My cat had kittens when I was a kid. The dryer door was left open. She moved half the litter into the nice warm dryer. Went back for another kitten. My Mother came along, threw clothes into dryer, closed door and turned it on.... what a surprise when the load was done!
I've seen some ad about a Mom handling her kids and their actions one after another as she walks from Kitchen to her bedroom. And I noticed they changed it. In the original she walks into the laundry room just as her son has put a cat into the dryer. Now she opens it and pulls out a container of dripping eggs. And I always wonder if they got calls of complaints.
The bad part (sorry advertisers) is that I don't recall the product name or what they were trying to sell me.
My Aunt's cat had to get pshycotherapy after this experience-not a joke either. Don't know if it helped or not! :-)

Look at that face- how could you ever yell at that? Sweet little one.
Oh good grief! It only takes a split second to double check, and a little situational awareness isn't too big a trick either. Kittens aren't *that* stealthy.

This happens a lot, often with tragic results. Always keep your washer and dryer doors closed, except when loading and unloading.
My aunt did this to her cat when it was in the dryer. Unfortunately, the cat didn't make it. Good to see the little kitty survived!
