Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Sigh.
Teacher told me during mom's minutes "Have a piece of cooked spaghetti ready for the lesson." One spaghetti noodle. So I gave it some thought and microwaved one spaghetti noodle in a plate of water in the microwave.
Joshua's supposed to make an S out of it.
I put it in by his desk and go get the clothes out of the washing machine. Turn around in time to see him polishing off his letter S,
LOL!
Now that's funny...
Hmmm.... ecurbh, a larger one of these made out of tarp might work well for the hay carrier we were just talkin' about ;~D

Agreed. He can pretty much play with things anywhere. But when he's done, they have to be put away, and may ~never~ be left on the floor.
Jr. learned that lesson 'cause when the dog was a puppy, he ate anything on the floor. Jr. has/had several Star Trek ships that will never make warp speed again. The dog has always ignored Luke's toys.
My sibs had a whole collection of dog-chewed Star Trek figures. Heh. Now our dog only chews up stuffed animals...
This is a great pic from your FReep! (still catching up!)
Heh, thanks!
Ya look so tough! I've never done a FReep where I was outnumbered and intermixed with the other side! Only big group flag-waving rallies without debating the bystanders.
Sounds pretty exciting!
It wasn't that scary. They were mostly just slightly-wacky people. If anyone had been threatening, I'd have let the big guys who were along handle it.
mmm 's'
Now I am hungry.

A cowboy was herding his herd in a remote pasture when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban sunglasses, YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?"
The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure. Why not?"
The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his AT&T cell phone, surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite navigation system to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses a MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with hundreds of complex formula. He uploads all of this data via an email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response. Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and finally turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1586 cows and calves."
"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says the cowboy. He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.
Then the cowboy says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"
The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"
"You're a democrat consultant," says the cowboy.
"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"
"No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked, and you don't know anything about my business...Now give me back my dog!"
ROTFL!
Heh...I'd seen a variation on that, but this one is good!
Thanks for posting!
I am heading down to the Pierce Co Republican Office today. I hope they still have lots of good stuff there! I want lapel pins and buttons that are obvious!
Went to hold a sign down at Husky Stadium on Saturday. I didn't find the FReeper group until I was heading home, but I found a neat couple of non-FR people that were right in the thick of things and helped them out. The fun part was handing out stickers for people to put on their clothing before going into the stadium. This is my first time doing something like this, and I hope to get at least one other opportunity before election day!!
I'm taking a page from your book and writing a little during the quiet moments here...
Had a nice chuckle when we heard the announcer say the programs were being sold by the German Club. Looked at the wife and said "figures."
;-)
This time delay on posts showing up is driving me crazy!
Me, too
