The Hobbit Hole XVI - Still round the corner there may wait...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner there may wait...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

don't want to have to wait for a mail order from the offical campaign website.

I ordered stuff from the website and it took less than a week to get here. Of course it was shipped from Kentucky which is a heck of a lot closer to MA than it is to WA. ;o) Good luck finding stuff!

Good morning! Goodness, I slept IN! I woke up at 6:30am and visited with Steve for a bit, then laid back down on our couch and went to sleep again! The jedis are STILL asleep!

Today is the big day! We visit the Army National Guard Black Hawk unit at 6pm this evening. Seven Webelos with their families are coming and my friend Celeste and her family are also coming.

If I'm allowed to, I'll take lots of pictures!

Good point!

I second the vote to go to the doctor.... and many here know that I ~hate~ going to the doctor. I still know when I need to go!

I want to get some buttons and pens to wear to work to see if I can get myself fired or some such thing,

They had buttons and signs and things at the fair...

I have one here, I'd send it to you if your local office doesn't have them... That is... if I am supposed to support this risky behavior of yours ;~D

The Pierce County Republican Office (right across the street from my office, it's pretty cool) has every kind of sign, sticker, button and pin imaginable -- all the way up to semi-side sized signs like Hair and ecurbh have in their pasture. I'd go to your King Co. Republican office. I see people coming and getting signs of all sizes and kinds every day -- even in this union/liberal mecca.
