Statistics for 200 billion price tag?

Posted on 10/01/2004 9:50:39 PM PDT by RepublicanAttackMachine

Kerry claimed that we are spending $200 billion for the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan.

Rush and others here on Freep have said that the BUDGET is $200 billion, but we are only spending $119 billion.

Can anyone direct me to a link that says this? Thanks a bunch

I am just guessing, but the Military has its budget, regardless if its fighting a war or not.

If you allocate the $87 Billion supplimental, plus the military's regular budget for expenses for Iraq, it might push it close to that $200 Billion.
