We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
TROPICAL DEPRESSION IVAN ADVISORY #69
[Used in lieu of normal NHC graphic, which was not available.]
DISCUSSION
...IVAN POORLY ORGANIZED...MIGHT STRENGTHEN A LITTLE BEFORE REACHING TEXAS...
IVAN shows little sign of the normal organization associated with a tropical system (maybe because it is really a cut off LP system trying to behave as a tropical system?). There might be some strengthening before it reaches the coast, but the window for that to occur is closing.
IVAN is being steered by the strong mid-level HP center to its north. That center is forecast to weaken over the next 24 hours, and IVAN will slow after it makes landfall.
Rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 inches are possible along and to the right of the track of IVAN, which may result in life-threatening flash floods.

In the news...
Senator John Effin says that the draft would return if Bush is re-elected.
The Washington Pravda is accusing the Bush campaign of flip-flops since it targets one thing about Kerry, then something else, only to return to the first item.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Good morning! This is a babysitting day, so I will be around here for an hour or so and then head to my son's house; I will check in later today.
I keep my two little granddaughters. 2-4 yrs. old. The 2 yr old will soon be 3. They are so funny.
It is amazing how crumbs and sticky stuff is found in the strangest places. :)
Fort Bend schools are out today. It's County Fair Day. So I will have all 3 girls to watch. My daughter had planned on taking the day off and taking the girls to the fair, but Ivan is suppose to bring us wind and rain today, so I think we'll end up calling it off.

Good morning, John. What's happening?
I want to reiterate how honored I am to be allowed to serve these wonderful guys. Most of these kids are younger than my daughters, and are a long way from home, doing dangerous work from late at night to early in the morning. And they are doing it as volunteers, and they are doing it for us.
God has blessed us with a new 'greatest' generation.

I am also in Louisiana, but apparently further east than you. Is the wind bad there? Not much weather here.
Found this over on Wizbangblog.
Mama T. Speaks
Teresa Heinz Kerry is a one woman quote factory. Via the KerrySpot:
Reporter: "He's still down." [in the polls]
Teresa: "He's not. Did you see the polls today? You saw Zogby and ARG -"
Reporter: Yes, but he's still down in Arizona."
Teresa: "Oh, who cares? You know, one state is not a whole state. In the whole United States, he is even, even, and in some of them one point ahead, and in some one point behind."
ROFL!!!!!!!!!
Monty Python....and the Dead Parrot.
I'm sure they appreciate you, too.
I thank them and you.
:)
I'll bring this issue up with the hotel management, about how the ISP 'professionals' have screwed up. I'm making a list of all the problems. Sheesh... the system time is set to 1970....
Hotel management will appreciate a hammer to whack the ISP with.

Speaking of Monty Python, did you catch the end of Brit Hume last night? LOL!
Just watched C-Span's coverage this morning of yesterday's news conference with Presidents Bush and Allawi.
I am stunned and angered by the sheer stupidity of these so called American "journalists" who all have axes to grind.
I also believe they do not represent the voice of most Americans.
What really frosted me was the puny reporter who kept badgering the President about people in America don't believe deposing Saddam has made us safer.
I wish someone would tell this stupid lout that yes... let's go back to pre-Sept. 11 and do nothing. Lets continue to allow to terrorism to run unchecked in the world, and lets continue to pile on the bodies of dead Americans because we've decided to do nothing!
Because in essence, that is why precisely what he was advocating.
No I didn't I was working ....why?
Here in Lafayette we got some rain yesterday, but that's it. Nothing since, and no wind.
Where are you in Louisiana?
