The illegals would be stupid to register and then start having to pay for everything that they're getting for free today.

Wouldn't they?

Thanks. I just loooooove the morons who assert that people who supported Bush are stupid. A. It's wrong. B. As a strategy to garner more votes next time around, it's a loser.

So, who's stupid?

This is too much fun. I am only on #115, but am reading each post. I love the comments about how we have the food and the guns. My favorite sniper kitty is in #28.

Have any of you cooks ever soaked your Thanksgiving turkey in a brine the day before cooking?

It makes them moist. I was going to try it this year, but I'm not having Thanksgiving at my house.

I have some instructions fro brining a turkey, but I don't have them right at hand. It didn't look too difficult, and involves using large roasting bags rather than buckets (which is what was recommended in previous instructions I'd seen). I'll post later if you still don't have any information from anyone by the time I can find the instructions. Didn't look to hard, and I was considering trying it this year, but I'm not having Thanksgiving at my house this year.

Thanks for the info. I have looked up some methods but was wanting to know if someone who had cooked or tasted a brined turkey could tell the difference.

Are going to be cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner this year? There will be just five of us, but I always try to cook the customary dishes. My grandchildren are so traditional, they ask why the sweet potatoes were not served in the same bowl as last year. LOL

Is your turkey a wild one?

If so, it would prolly benefit from a nice soaking.

Otherwise, no.
