BTW- yesterday My 6 y/o old son told me that he would like to be a solider when he grows up.
My thoughts are with the parents of our troops today too. I wonder how they fare with their little boys and girls going to war.
How bittersweet it must be to raise someone to love the flag and this country- and then know someday they may have to fight for it and for their lives because of it.
God bless them. Where we be without them?
GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!!!
It is a contrast of emotions. Sort of an emotional potpouri. I have two nephews in the Marines. My brother is very proud of his sons. I am proud of them too. If you want to get in a fight with my brother just say anything that hints that you don't support our men and women in uniform.
I thought I was going to have to restrain him at my niece's (sister's daughter) wedding reception. A college punk friend of the groom said the wrong thing.
Luckily I was there and wisked the young idiot to the safety of his auto and suggested he might want to drive his candy butt on home at this point. He left!
