Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Plain green choppers, sliding doors on the side...loud, but not as loud as the double bladed ones. I don't remember.
It could be a Huey.

More likely you're seeing a Black Hawk.

Well everyone, I've got to go.
My sister called and said that the flood waters apparently tore up her transmission and it will cost her $800 to fix.
So, she's coming over to spend the night so we can ride to work together in the morning after dropping the kids off at school.
Which means, I've got a bit to do around here to get everything ready for a very hectic morning.
I'll be back if I can, if not....good night!

shoot the bedbugs on sight :) oooh that reminds me of one particularly rainy week in College Station. (shivers) I don't think I got any sleep that night... neither did my roommate, cuz we were looking for that SERIESLY HUGH waterbug until we gave up at dawn.

Corin; thanks very much, we got and could see it - usually those crash the Webtv.
G'nite all.

We recall those as well; our cat Smokey Bear used to try to sneak them in from the garage, more fun than any ol squeaky mouse. right. We checked him really closely after the second time and figured out his game plan.
