Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh.... We used to ride in the big industrial-size dryer at elementary school.... The janitor (who was Korean I think and barely spoke Engrish) would always run in when he heard us saying "No! No!"
Heh.

the 249 SAW is an FN, as is the 240G... the G is nicknamed the "third leg", because it's longer, and heavier than the old pig... but a much better weapon...

I noticed that too, but I think it's "tongue in cheek" (or is that toe in sheep?).

Mornin'!
Was awoken by my aunt calling to remind me that her grandaughter's 1st birthday party is today at 1pm. I am SO not in the mood!
I still have my nephew here. My sister hasn't called or showed up yet, which isn't unusual. I called my ex to come over and help me wrangle these kids to the party. I just can't handle it today.
Maybe I need more caffeine before I consider the day's events....

hair - how's the pasture woodpile? burning season yet? There is a HUGH pile to burn, most of it's green, but it'll burn if we can get it good and hot!
We are gonna seed the 'mostly cleared' areas this weekend. There is still more cleanup, but if I wait till it's all clean, there'll be no time for grass to sprout this fall.
