Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yup, I disliked that ending very much. It seemed like fanservice to me... The first ending is my favorite, but I think I like the second opening (Ready Steady Go) best of the openers. I like the sequences with all the military guys. And I like the words, but not so much the art, to the third opening (Undo). It's easy to sing along with.
Try the 40 linked on this page - http://spoon.thefreebizhost.com/ - it's Spoon, who's good but has been down for a while, I don't know if it'll work. Fork 40.v2 had some real howlers - I mean, *I* could tell in some spots that they were translating things right. I've listened to this series enough to know that "Kenji no ishi" means "Philosopher's Stone", but apparently whoever translated that version didn't...

Yeah. I didn't really care, I just have to find a way to cover it. Sigh. Good thing I've found lots of free anime, I haven't got money for movies or stuff for a while.

Yeah, that put me out $250. For the privilege of driving around. Bah. Get used to it. Colorado isn't nearly as conservative as it's made out to be.

No that's me. My problem is a philosophical one. "30" is proving to be an emotional hurdle for me. But I'm sure I'll get over it by the time "40" rolls around. :P

The emissions test kinda gave that away...
No, I was expecting some liberosity, after all this is a college town. I'm ok with that. But I've seen about as many Republican signs as Democrat ones in lawn (the primary is tomorrow. I can't vote, haven't been here often enough)... it seems about as conservative as the part of PA where I come from. Only without the stupid leftover steel union residue, hurrah.

Any fansubs that I should stay away from? I found one site that'll group shows by fansub.
I felt like a kid in a candy store seeing all the things available.

The fat hobbit is always watching. He sees. He knows...
To: ksen
Hehehe... well... I don't really know. Anime-keep and Anbu are very good. I'm seeing Samurai 7 subtitled by Lunar, but I think I'm going to switch to the Keep/Anbu version because they've made some odd mistakes. (I like Samurai 7 a lot. It only shows two episodes a month, though, so it'll be going on a long time...)
What site is that? Mind linking me?

Folks here often joke about changing the name of the state to Taxes. (I saw that on a personalized Texas plate once.)
Colorado lives up to that name.
