New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
We do? We've been thinking of maybe just a timesharing deal of some kind... a couple weeks in the summer.
She didn't ticket us. Just a warning to got get 'em Monday! I have gotten pulled over often enough, but I've rearely gotten tickets. Of course... The couple I have gotten have been dooooozies.
It is probably some Java thing that is not installed in Firefox by default. I have Firefox as my default browser too, but use IE for Java-type things such as the Yahoo chat and game sites. Even if Firefox is installed and set as the default browser, IE should still be on your system (I don't think it ~can~ be removed from Windows).
They tend to frown on rebounding checks. ;-(
LOL. I used to try to imagine parenthood. Reality is approxiamtely a million times better than I imagined.
~VEY~ nice pics, Jen! I find that there is just something so spiritually refreshing about the mountains. There just ain't nothing like it. To quote James Taylor:
We thought we ought to walk awhile
So we left that town in a single file
Up and up and up mile after mile after mile
We reached the tree line and I dropped my pack
Sat down on my haunches and I looked back down
Over the mountain
Helpless and speechless and breathless
See y'all later, I'm beat!
So, will you be voting for RockyMoot '07?
I love mountains, too. If we get a nice weekend in late September, I want to drive into the mountains again and look at the foliage. I need a hiking partner, though! All these wonderful places to go and no one to share it with!
Yeah, Rocky Mootin' would be cool, I'd dig it. I haven't been to the Rockies in several years now. Or we could have it here in the pacific NW... in addition to the mountains, we gots the ocean!
I'm in Phase 2, but I ate em anyway! LOL! I found some really tasty sugar free maple flavored syrup made by Maple Grove Farms, the same folks that make the maple syrup we buy!
I'd love to go to New Mexico sometime. I suggested it for our family vacation next year, but the older boys wanted to go to Northern California, so we're going to Yosemite! I'll just have to plan the NM trip for 2007!
WHOA! Great Banner!
Wow! There's still snow in August? Who took your picture, or did you set the camera up on a timer?
Oh heavens, she's so CUTE! She's not so 'bitty' anymore!
LOL! I really like the story I listened to. I'll have to see if they have anymore on cassette or CD for when I drive Clare up to camp in VT.
Writing to MBY reminded me to tell you about coming up to VT again. Clare will be going to homeschool camp at Hulbert again. I can drive her up on 10/17, so maybe we can get together again for dessert or supper or something in Lebanon again! If we come up early enough, Clare will be with me, and I can take her to camp later.
CO is too danged COLD too much of the time!
Me, too. It was truly depressing!
Yup! Get up above treeline - say, 11,500 feet, and it's cold enough for the snow to stick around. It was close to freezing, I think - the wind made my ears sore. There was one ridge I trekked to the top of that had a lot of snow - here's another pic.
Dang! She was nice! I got stopped in NJ once for expired license plates. I had never received the notice, and I just didn't think about it. I had both my older kids in the car, and they were 4 and 1 yrs. old at that time. I was in a parking lot at the time, and that trooper wouldn't even let me drive the car to our house which was less than mile away!! I even suggested he follow me to make sure I didn't go anywhere else!! Left me stranded with the two little kids at a shopping center! I was so angry I burst into tears when I called SSQ to come pick us up! It's a good thing he wasn't out of town on a trip or something! I'm STILL angry about it, 20 years later!! Law or no law, you don't need to treat people like that!!
I had to drive over an hour to pick our older son up just a couple of weeks ago because of the same thing!! His notice had been sent to his old address, and hadn't made it to our house with mail forwarding before the thing expired. And we hadn't noticed the sticker, either. We possibly could have done the re-registration FOR him because his car was HERE the whole time he was in France!! He was less lucky because they TOWED his car, and he not only had to pay the fine for the overdue registration, but he also had to pay a $50 tow fee!
