Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I have to work tomorrow...freshmen showing up. But I can use the overtime.
Need to buy socks!
It's really hard to program when you can't get the program to debug or compile, so unless I solve my java problem, I think I'll do something fun tomorrow. The question is, what?
Drudge has a link to this story:

It says they've ruled one of the Russian planes was terrorism - explosives found. They've not released info on the second plane.
Do the boys like the lessons on tape? Joseph is reading "The Iliad" for summer reading for his Western Civ. course before school starts, and I also have him watching a series of lectures on it from The Teaching Company. I watched with him; the lectures are dull, but the info is great!
Surprise, surprise.
Hope they track down who did it.
..."And a little piece of land in the country to build a house and raise chickens, and that's all I want"... ;o)
I forgot to respond to you last night. Actually the monologue went quite well. I remember all my lines and said "writing is a pleasure to me" instead of "writing is precious to me." ;-)
She said it was good. Perhaps the best comment was that she said it was very polished. And she told the group that she was certain if I were to do it again, I'd do exactly the same thing.
That's a HUGH compliment (if I do say so rather vainly myself). For one thing, we're studying method acting. But it's also a particular pet peeve of hers when she is directing our larger productions. With an ensemble cast that large it is vital that people do the same actions ever time. But some folks just don't get that concept. So little side "bits" sometimes fall flat because people aren't where they're supposed to be.
So, I felt pretty good about it.
(and yes, I mailed the picture just like that)
That sounds so cool! I've always enjoyed "dramatic recitations" - my grand experience consists of six scenes from Shakespeare. I wish I had a chance to get involved the way you do.
Find yerself a big ol' pentecostal mega-church. ;-)
Um... I see two problems with that scenario...
I'm just tryin' to help.
Uh-huh.
I guess it really is Friday. Nobody's here yet. It's now a question of whether anyone will show up before my class at one, or if I'm on my lonesome today.
spray in... hands down... gotta drop in now, but will get a spray on as soon as I got the spare change...
drop ins wear off the paint... spray-ins hold up well... if they ever do chip, you can touch them up yerself...
that seems tuh be the consensus...gotta do some pricing.
Oh right, those too. Aside from the dogs, they generally ride up front.
oooo...a two-fer...
The bed is quilt...
Class in half an hour, and maybe I can go home early today! Be home by four instead of six, that'd be nice.
Drat! I forgot to get dinner thawing.
The thread is "bed."
It is also "quilt."
Ah, I see. Good pun.
Friday night, come faster... so I can go home and be alone and yell at my stupid Java compiler...
