Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Unfortunately, no copy of this MST3K episode is known to exist...Rats!

"World War IV, maybe."
Huh, interesting. Is the show set in Earth's future, then? That might fit with the thing I thought looked like a nuclear bomb in the previous episode.

Probably about the time humans learn to stop shooting first and asking questions later.... ;) Of course, by that time the aliens really will be pointing to shoot!

Naturally, Murphy trumps everything.

I will pray for comfort to your grandma and her family.

Nothing particularly dramatic. Just the usual politics.
I'm entertaining myself now by watching the DNC clown parade. Got a real charge out of Gore's speech. Was looking for clues that they have some new and interesting direction for their campaign strategy... and ... nope. All they have is the same old tired demo crap that they've been spewing all along. [sigh]
Have been very much enjoying the doofus (Kerry) in his rediculous photo op in the spaceman cleansuit. Also loved the booing reception at Fenway park and the flubbed pitch-- that he still managed to blame on the soldier-- unfargin'believable.
and then there's Tharayyyza... oh yes, it's been a fine, fine beginning to the week. :-)

That's one of those episodes they said were so bad they won't let anyone see them :) I guess a few of those are actually available now, though--not sure if that particular one is.

Definitely! And have wooden facial expressions.

Prayers away. Strength for all, and ease the sadness. Little to be mournful about though for a long life well-lived.

I'm watching something equally intelligent: WWE :)

Watch the end and decide for yourself. It could be the future, it could be another planet. It doesn't make you decide.

When it rains it pours. Will pray Lil'. The Stormhands' clan understands these types of rain.

At this point I'm leaning towards deciding it's set in Earth's future, mainly because the premise of the past few episodes strikes me as influenced by
Beneath the Planet of the Apes which is set 2,000 years in Earth's future. But we'll see if I still think that by the end. I'm about halfway done.
So what are you up to? Hope the novacaine and antibiotics are helping your ear feel better.

Just working on getting ready to move. I'm gonna have an early night tonight. Maybe rewatch one episode of something first.
