At this point I'm leaning towards deciding it's set in Earth's future, mainly because the premise of the past few episodes strikes me as influenced by Beneath the Planet of the Apes which is set 2,000 years in Earth's future. But we'll see if I still think that by the end. I'm about halfway done.
