Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'm not exactly excited. I might watch it eventually after it comes out on DVD, sometime when I have nothing better to do. Maybe.
Or not, even.

Maybe, but even a shark-jumped Star Wars beats 99% of the junk Hollywood makes! The light-saber fight between Anakin and Obi-wan alone should be worth it, and Saruman should also have a cool fight scene. Plus I'm hoping Jar-Jar gets killed. . .that I'd definitely pay to see!

So you're gonna watch it right after you rewatch Bakshi, huh? :) Sigh--looks like I'll be the only Holer at the midnight showing. . .

Id much rather watch Bakshi...I'll at least know what the heck is going on. I will have to re-watch Ep. Two to see if I get any idea of what the heck the big deal was. Hubby and I came out of that movie going "WTF????????"
Ewan McGregor is the only redeeming spark in it.

I still think I'll wait until it's out on DVD, though.

Maybe, but even a shark-jumped Star Wars beats 99% of the junk Hollywood makesUntil "Attack of the Clowns" (sic), I'd have agreed with you. But they did it so badly, it makes me ashamed to have been a Star Wars fan. Most Hollywood junk could never be other than junk, so it's not too disappointing. Star Wars ought to be good, and it's not. That's a worse failing.
I'll just keep watching anime... need to research and locate a couple more series...

Half the people I've talked to had that problem with it. I guess I didn't because I read the book first and it filled in a lot of blanks. For some reason the movie cut out a lot of plot points that were in the book that should've been in the movie IMO. Same with "Phantom Menace".

I just wish the guys would hurry up and eat 'em already! But there's still a dozen or so left, if not more. It was a really big container!
But I just had one of those Listerine strip thingies. NOTHING tastes good after those... ;-)

Every time you're tempted to eat a cookie, just think of Miniskirted Boromir leaping into the next "Star Wars" film to rescue Jar-Jar from a band of orcs--if that doesn't kill your appetite nothing will :)

"Until "Attack of the Clowns""
ROFL! I dunno, I was disappointed, too, but there was still a lot of stuff I liked in it. Yoda's fight scene was great.
So what anime are you watching now? Have you located any new series?
