Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

And there seems to be more tweaking opportunities ahead. :)
We're having a department lunch today...free food and Frankie.

It's an Italian buffet place....they play Sinatra almost constantly (there'll be a Dean Martin thrown in once in a while). The department head likes the place.
To: Overtaxed
Ah... Italian buffet sounds like not my kind of lunch. Other than pizza, I've yet to meet an Italian dish I really like.
And Sinatra, wall to wall, over lunch? No, thanks.

Well, it basically comes down to I don't like noodles. In any form. So that rules out most Italian.

OK, I read about it. SSQ and I went to an Italian restaurant in Tampa FL many years ago and they played Dean Martin the whole time. Never thought I'd get sick of Dean Martin, but that night was a bit much!

There's lots of Italian that doesn't involve macaroni. If you go to a GOOD restaurant (not a national chain) you'll find plenty of good stuff.

Don't like Risotto, or at least not the stuff we've fixed at home. If I went to a good Italian joint, I'd just order whatever nice beef dish they had and ignore the noodles.

Well, it basically comes down to I don't like noodles. Or noodlers, then, I presume?

Yeah, we haven't seen her since Sunday morning. I figger it might be a family thing. Still it's not like her not to check in.
To: Corin Stormhands
Specially if she's been at work we'd presume.
