Special Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Night Bear! My Zelazny novel should arrive tomorrow!
Good night all...
"That's why God made window screens!"
That's what I keep telling the tiny gnats that fly through the mesh, but they don't listen :)
G'night, Jen!
Why? What'd that poor thing ever do to you?
It cooled off the stuffiness of the house sitting here closed up all this time now and I've given it a break. It's only on low. Very low. I'm comfy but not chilly. :-)
We'll try! - But you know.... we can't stop chiseling all this stuff on stone tablets.... eventually you've got to upgrade ;~D
Sorry Sam's all scratchy.... hope he's feelin' better already.
Gidget's got something wrong with an eye. Not sure what, but it needs looked at.
PE got babygirl's new fish tank set up tonight. WooHoo! It is vey cool. I had a nice supply of marbles from my teacher stash, and we got a small bad of purple/blue/green gravel. The flourescent light reflects off of them in the dark in *such* a cool and colorful way! Now, all we need are the fish.
Don't tell elf-boy, but his gamma (my mom) is getting him a fish tank for his birthday. He gets to pick out the tank and the fish, stealthily. She wants me to have him pick it out, then she will buy it for him and bring it to the house to surprise him. Mind you she lives an hour away.
woops!
bad=bag
Awsome! Fish tank should give babygirl something fun and colorful to look at! I bet she's fascinated by it. :-)
Myranda had a fish tank in her room for years. Problem was, that was in the house where we didn't have heat. Fish would get too cold. And *every* time we lost a fish she cried and cried. It got to be *way* too much for me! LOL
She had it for 3 or 4 years and loved it though. I ended up using it for tarantulas. :-)
In fact, Emma is feeling quite chipper and full of herself: She rolled in horse poop today (Banner Day!). Of course, the bathing routine wasn't a happy event (for her), but the opportunity to roll in horse poop is worth any sacrifice and trial that follows.
I hope it's Gephardt! It will be the "Dull and Duller" ticket!
I'm fixing to hit the hay again, myself. I took a nap about 8pm cause I was just exhausted. I've been coughing all day while doing the drawings on the computer, and wore myself out. I think I'm gonna have to give in and call the doc tomorrow. Bummer.
Hehehe... Emma had a kid day then! Good to hear that they made it through the weekend so well. Smeagol doesn't ever seem to be affected by fireworks.... but I'm sure she's gonna have the same reaction as Emma when I bathe her this week. She's been gone for several weeks... it's time... but she *won't* like it!
I hope you get to feeling better tonight!
I gotta see one tomorrow too. ugh.
Emma loves to swim -- cold water no problem -- she swam in the Sound on Sunday. Cold as all get out. Barnacles on the rocks, no problem. But bath water? Might as well be bathing her in acid. Dogs are crazy.
Yeah they are! Smeagol is pouting over coming home. Here, she gets to stay *in* the house. She gets lots more attention.... but my aunt and uncle have another dog for company for her. She misses him. *sigh* She pouts.
Good morning, Hobbit Hole!
Am back at work... catching up on all the gossip.
Morning! Monday is much better when it comes on Tuesday.
