Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hair; like to doggie ping list. Happy to report that Gypsy did pretty good on the walk, flinching a bit but relatively on track. The neighborhood, so far, is pretty quiet. Well, was. Sigh.

Perhaps a child already old enough to have a pony.

Yer gonna adopt just to get a pony? Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a pony?

Wouldn't it be easier to just rent or borrow a young 'un for those special occasions and/or holidays?

I don't know about borrowing, what if I break it? she's sortof a bad pony. ;~D

All I meant was that if I get the bilogical time bomb hitting, perhaps it'd be better if we didn't start from scratch so late! There must be kids around who would love a home where they wouldn't have to beg for a pony!

Hi, Jen! Glad to hear you found a place and made it back safe!--even though you're apparently dead :) If that's not due to a typo that's curious. In the fake ID business one way to create a fake ID is to "borrow" a birth certificate from a dead person. Hopefully there's some more mundane explanation than that and it's just a typo or something simple like that. In any case, at least the new place is near a Barnes and Nobles--and that, of course, is what counts in a new apartment :) Hope you made some progress talking to the department, too. Welcome back! :)

Wow! I'm glad the trip was so successful, Jen!

That whole bit about your SSN is pretty slack, but not uncommon. Alyson got sick once and when I took her to the hospital, they told me her SSN was registered to someone else under Medicare, etc. I threatened to create a scene because I had her original SS card with me and they still hemmed and hawed about treating her.

I reported it to the SS office and never heard another word. But I haven't had any more trouble with Alyson at hospitals. :-)

It'll get sorted out fairly quickly, I'm sure.

You can borrow Becky if you like. She's fairly indestructable! *wink*

After a week or so, you'll be ready to return her.

Thanks for the multiple birthday wishes.

I am here and heading back to catch up.

Technical assistance please. Wife needs to take some pictures to church tomorrow on CD. We're still new at this. Do I just save them in the same manner that I would save them to disk?

Born, almost, on the 4th of July!

My mother said the doctor didn't work on Wednesday so he gave her the choice of Tuesday or Thursday...so she picked Tuesday.

Do you have CD burning software? If so, use it to drag and drop the files.
