Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heck with work (nice, restrained language).
Wife and I are thinking of popping over to The Tides this weekend sometime. Gonna be hangin' around there?
To: Corin Stormhands
*sigh*
What are we gonna do with you?

There are flights every day.
Heck, we'll probably sit on the deck over the water. Gonna be low-mid 80's all weekend.

I'm available at a mere moment's notice! :-) The Tides would be a fine plan at almost any moment.

Hey guys. If ya'll are going to the Tides would you like Chad and his mom to meet up with ya maybe? I'm IMing with Chad's mom right now and she and her hubby are going to be visiting with him this weekend and next week. She's trying to convince me I should come back to spend the rest of the summer with her and hubby. They wanna take me fishin. Not like that's gonna happen.... but she's making me miserable too.

But I could not eat one! I'm a sucker for a cute face. ;-)See, I'm trying to imagine cooking him ... NOOOOOOOO!
Tooooo cute to kill! Too adorable to eat!
I feel the same way about rabbits. I had a dream last night about the rabbit I had when I was a kid ... sooo sweet and soft!
I'd post a picture, but the only one I can get to is blurry. I was maybe two? I don't remember his name, but I remember how he would tremble, just a little, when I held him. He was so warm!

I know! Bunnies are cute, too - but not as cute as that seal pup! :-)
