Evening all.

Thank you to all who have offered prayers and encouragement for my mom and my family.

It appears we have good news and an answer to prayer this evening. My translation has come through three siblings, but the doctors seem to have ruled out the heart.

Based on what my brother said, and some googling, it appears she may have pericarditis which is an inflammation around the heart. But it can cause severe chest pain. When they came to that conclusion they gave her an anti-inflammatory drug and she said that's the first real pain relief she'd had all day.

The condition can be caused by radiation therapy.

While it's possible that this was it all along. I believe it just as possible that the condition could have changed today as a result of prayer.

I didn't go tonite and had planned to go in the morning. I'm not sure at this point. I may wait and go over the weekend. I think I'm too emotionally strung out to decide.

Oh, that sounds much better than the earlier news! Hope that you'll continue to hear good things! We'll keep on prayin', though...

Glad she's at least in less pain now!

I think you are in a position to claim emotional distress to put off decisions tonight. This is great news about your mom. I am rejoicing with you and so glad that our prayers have born fruit!

Will continue to pray for her of course. And also for you in this time.

You know I love you. The Hobbit Hole loves you. And when you hurt, we hurt. (((((Corin)))))

Glad to hear Corin! - Really I think, good news. I am just back and not really caught up yet, but I was scanning down looking for that...

That, and couldn't help but notice the flame war that wasn't really brought here. ~wink~

Had the meeting with the pastor today, everyone knows where to stand. We're good to go!

Ramius.... did you see my Garrison Keillor flame war today?

Prayer could also have led them to that diagnosis where they didn't see it before.
