Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Whatever you want, I hope you get. Nobody's gonna melt if it rains either. LOL ... I think people in this area would even be grateful for rain at weddings right now. It rains everywhere around us but not here!
Last night just after I got home there was enough wind, lightening and thunder to think it would flood.... the wind knocked down power lines in several places and I was without power again for about 1/2 hour... but we didn't get one drop of rain!

I even got my stuff all into one bag!
Of course, I packed it in about 20 minutes. No telling what I forgot... but I have all weather conditions except snow covered. I'll mooch something for that.

"Uh... must be English, that's what we are. English on all sides with a tiny bit of German for flavor."
I was wondering if the name was German. I guess English and German are pretty close, though.
Have fun at the movie! See ya after you get back!

Hmm; interesting, we saw Silent Running years ago on tv. Got to say we enjoyed it, can't recall which droid (huey, dewey or louie) got sent off with the forest.

Scott, I thought the wedding was in June? Forecast is for July 19. Though I think the 19th is a monday in July.

I enjoyed it, but it was in a weird way :) I was on a 70s SF kick and watched a bunch of movies in a row--that one, "Colossus: the Forbin Project", "Andromeda Strain", "Soylent Green", "Westworld", "Futureworld", "Logan's Run", "Space 1999"--basically trying to get a feel for the state of SF movies between "2001" and "Star Wars". The period had a definite "feel" to it and that movie was one which stood out.

corin; nice looking daylily. and they said Dwarves didn't have an appreciation of flowers and such. :-)
btw, we gotta another canna coming up, it's one of the big uns which we haven't planted in a couple three years, so appears some have 'overwintered' well or a stray seed.

*ugh*
I think the 19th of this month is when there's a FReeper wedding planned.
An accursed day for me, nothing good happens on my birthday usually.
