Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good afternoon everybody!
2J, I can completely empathize with ya. My mom has really created a disaster in my life with her decision to go on a cruise at the same time I will be gone. *rolls eyes*
I've had to juggle my vacation time at work and am still struggling to get everything settled here at home before I go. It will be a joint effort between my sister and my ex getting the child care thing down.
My mom doesn't get back until the 21st at 7am, so you can imagine how nervous I am about everything working out properly while I'm away. But I determined to go! :-)

And the robots, little trashcans with legs that made you want to go smash mailboxes just because.
I don't remember the song offhand, probably a Godsend on that.
What I got from that movie was that the 'hero' was the bad guy.
*LOL!*
The whole thing about destroying his own ship so that the other guys can't was ridiculous.
"I won't let you blow up this forest!"
And then he jettisons it later.
Hmm..

Sigh... if my parents get home in time, I've found someone who wants to see "Riddick"... but we don't know when they'll be back and I can't leave the bothers all to themselves.

They need to pass that slow car in the front.
I'm watching the race and listening to the Cubs.

I dunno what's going on but the station here that the race is on is not coming in very well today. I keep getting static periods! No worries, I can keep up! :-)

Okay, what all kind of relevant mini-dramas did I miss while I was off celebrating Myranda's birthday?

That pretty much sums up the plot of the movie, LOL!
Since you don't remember the song, I'll see if I can find it for you--ain't I generous? :)

Is that a typo or is that what you call your brothers?--LOL! :) I wanted to see PoA today myself but I don't think I'm going to have time. Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday--crowds should be smaller then anyway.
