New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Oh - I am sure Ramius brought it in for the night to keep it out of the weather, cuz it's dark here too!
Steve
Fort Lewis chaplain fights for his life
He'll be in our prayers Steve.
I had read a story about him in the Oly paper too, and wondered if he was someone you know... Stay safe over there, we are all praying for safety for all of you.
the pelt t'weren't no good anymore... too many holes... I let him keep it...
g'mornin'... mmmmmmm coffee...
glad tuh here yer garden is doin so well...
prayers fer the Padre...
Kewl! Are you going to make a coonskin hat?
never mind.....too many "polka dots", I guess.
that, and summer pelts ain't no good... if'n it had been winter, I'duh head shot him with a .22... or tried a snare and clubbed him tuh save the hide...
Good job on the varmint. We had a nasty rat in the house last night, but one of the cats got it. I remembered why we tolerate them... rather have cats than rats... but they leave little rat spleens lying around.
Ewww....rats!
g'nad; good shootin'. we lost power at 22:26 got it back at 06:02. If you had got yore varmit 6 minutes earlier, we could have figured the shot carried a mite further than anticipated. :-)
On the walk this a.m. saw minimal tree damage although power seemed to be on in most neighborhoods, one set of traffic lights were still out, they had the temporary stop signs up. Got about an inch of rain out of it. Front went through pretty fast and sun is shining now. Think the storm should be about to Dogwood Ridge now, from the looks of the radar.
The last screen shot of radar that OT posted reminded us to take down the hanging porch plants and pull in the bird feeders. Glad we did.
Hair; thanks for posting the info; prayers for the chaplain's recovery.
God Bless Father Tim. I'll add him to our Parish Prayer list!
I had read about him on FR, but didn't connect him with your group. Thanks for letting us know.
I saw that story in the Trib too. Hope he pulls through and can get back to his good work.
The race start time has been moved up. You got yer ears on?
mmmmmmmm.... spleens...
got a bit of rain this mornin... that's about it...
the night before, our male mulberry tree in the front yard was struck by lightning... lost a medium sized branch... hopin' it survives... lots of sticks in the yard yesterday, but between mrsnad, me, and thekids, cleaned it up in about a half hour...
gotta clean up some debris down the lane, but no big trees down...
"Me too...Still do, somewhere in Mom's attic...though sometime in the early 80's I modified it to use a marginally better external speaker and used it to play other records."
Yep, that's about what mine looked like, LOL! That picture brings back memories :)
what's
"Good job on the varmint. We had a nasty rat in the house last night, but one of the cats got it."
Finally caught Pettigrew, eh? :)
