New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
You haven't bought it yet? What's the holdup? *smile*
Since I'm on a tight budget, I can't really afford it now, plus I really wanna make sure I can afford the extended edition, so I'm waiting! But I want to talk a sibling into renting it one of these days...
I hear that! I'm eating Healthy Choice frozen dinners for lunch to make up for the $15.00 I spent on the DVD. :-)
Vaguely remember something like that, but the exact quote eludes me.
They might be able to, after a little finagling and pleading.
I'm a sucker for the "voice of pleading" (+9) and the "eyes of sad" look (+8).
I have leftovers. Luckily, I make yummy leftovers. ;-) Been doin' a lot of big, one pot meals that make lots of leftovers, so today I'm having chili, and tomorrow I have black bean soup that I made yesterday.
LOL! My brother, Gerry, is an AF Acadmeny grad. He called it "The Zoo".
That's awful sweet! I remembered after I wrote last night that I have a nephew who is the Army in Germany training helicopter pilots on the Apache Longbow D. He had thought about West Point, but ended up doing ROTC at Johns Hopkins, then joined up after Graduation. Late in 2002, he had received orders to go to Korea, and his Mom heaved a sigh of relief, cause it wasn't the Middle East. Then 'Dear Leader' started showing his butt again, and they got worried. Just after the war in Iraq started, he got orders for Germany, so his Mom wasn't quite so worried. He had been getting Longbow pilots in from Iraq cause the Longbow D is the newest platform and they needed training on it.
His dad is the AF Academy grad, and when it came time for Gerry to choose what training he wanted (fighters, etc.) he asked if he could do helicopters. Apparently, in late 69, the Army was training a few AF guys, and he desperately wanted to fly helos. The powers that be said no, so he ended up in C-130s. He is SO proud, and jealous, of his son for being able to fly the Longbow!
Anyway, that's a long way of asking, could we send one to my nephew, too? I'll get a check out to you!
Class is something Matt Lauer has never had, and will never understand.
Woo Hoo!
Dang, he's a HUNK! I'll look for him in Riddick
Kinda early for funkling, isn't it? Well, it's 5 o'clock somewhere!
Talked to Real Estate Lady: the offer isn't complete and we don't know if they have financing or not. Duhhh...I'm not Bank of America and I'm not the Public Housing Authority!
Ka-THUNK!!!
Hey there! I havent heard from you in a while and thought I would see how you are doing. I am doing great! We are back in Germany now and I am getting ready to come back to the states for training and then to be stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. I am excited to say the least. Thanks again for sending all the packages to us down range. It really meana alot to know that we have people pulling for us while we are gone away like that. Well, when you get time, write me back. Take care and hope to hear from you soon. Perk
Yippee!!!!!
Well, I'm back and it's been an unbelievable morning...
My car started making this aweful squealing noise on the way to the store to get Matthew a lunch to take to VBS (this year has choir camp afterward...so he needs a lunch.) So I had to go by my folks house and get their big diesel truck to drive instead. Which made me late to VBS which is always a madhouse anyways.
So I'm pretty exhausted, but settled down for while in front of my mom's computer...
Jeepers!
So.... how are the poooooooodles?
Coool. So it was returned because he isn't ~there~ any more...
Good news! Thanks!
They're good...very sweet dogs really. It really is a hardship to watch them...they just sleep and bark now and then at cars going by!
I'm glad to hear that our connection in Iraq is doing well! Thanks for the update. Wn!
