Ditto.
Good morning, btw. Still dreary today. I could use some sunshine.
Peeked in on your little experience last evening. Makes me glad our little group is so friendly and lovable.
Morning. Still cool, but at least it's sunny here today.
No details yet at the Reagan Library site.
I took down the American flag we fly on a daily basis and put up my father-in-law's flag. I forget what year it was, but we had one flown over the U.S. Capitol for his birthday.
Today it honors Papa, D-Day and Ronald Reagan.
Putting on a fresh potta joe...woke up unassisted at 0330 and turned on the D-Day events at Colleville.
I was there in 1994, part of a VFW contingent out of Germany, some active duty, mostly DA civilians. I shot a lot of video and several stills, and the experience was marred only by the presence of x42 and his harsh mistress.
What a place; what a time.
Good morning. It's gray here, cool and might rain. I hope all the flags I pass on the way to church are lowered, or I shall be upset.
Let me know when you find out details.
It's funny, when Reagan was President my parents weren't conservatives yet - they were too young to vote in 80, and still idiots in 84 - but they respected him. I remember being taught to respect the President, even though my parents didn't like him. That's why, when Clinton happened, it was so shocking to have a president who you just couldn't respect.
Good morning!
The new engraving loooks great rick!
Watching the D-Day ceremony... Everyone else?
2j, checking in.
Watching the Reagan Tributes with Joshua...I think Josh od'd on ham yesterday and he's vomitting this morning. So Steve took Matthew to church and we're just hanging out.
I have some friends whose daughter graduated West Point last year, and will be heading to Iraq this summer doing Intelligence work. I bet she'd love one of those knives! I'll get the info on her address from her Mama.
She was in the class with my #1 son until the 9th grade when they went to different high schools. Paul was talking about her the other day and remembered that he was supposed to bake something and send it to her! We had seen her at Midnight Mass, and he baked a pound cake while he was home for winter break and sent it to her in Alaska!
'Morning!
Would ya believe that I had rented the DVD "Reagan: American Experience" for this weekend? Just finished watching part II this morning. Now I've got Cary Grant on and waiting for the Cubs game to start.
Ah.... we are watching the 24 hour news footage....
And playing shoot-em-up games!
Ewwww...24-hour media trolls!
Need to get some laundry done.
Back from church. Going to work out, then we'll see. Nobody wants the tv on here...
I've got a load of clothes in and a tater in the oven. I rearranged the deck yesterday and Miss Cat is checking out the new configuration.
I had some chicken on the way home so I can work out. Should be about time for me to go... I'm angry, lots of flags were not lowered yet.
The kitty seems to like lavender....
And this is a photo I had a poster of in full color as a teenager -- it is awesome in color, I've always thought of it when I think of the word "power" (in color, you see the massive muscles of his chest rippling). This is Secretariat winning the Gotham Stakes.
Tribute to Reagan at Wrigley Field...
