My problem with my history education in Virginia is that one year we would have Virginia history:
We would study Jamestown thru the colonial period and by about May we'd be hitting the Civil War and have about a week and a half to do the next 100 years.

When I studied American history in college it was an odd experience focusing almost exclusively on Massachusetts.
I try to read history when I get the time. I am still painfully ignorant of the early 1900s and beyond.
