Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

she could have been like that all night. Well, if it's any comfort, she probably has no concept of time.
I'm glad she's okay tho. Specially for Joshua's sake.

But my post number reads the same upside down and backwards, so it's more cool than your semi-Precious. Nyah!

The kitty got her claw caught in one of those holes in the back of the dryer drum one time....meowed until I unhooked her. :)

We'll get not-too-pricy, hot-chicks-on-a-budget, little-red-dresses. LOL! Oh, for sure!

She's out of the nest box. She didn't lay an egg. She just hung out in there for a while then got out and got another really long drink of water. Thank God it's not too hot either, it's been running in the 90s some this past week.
I held her for a while and examined her more closely. She has a gash on her face, under her eye, but her eye seems ok. She seems exhausted...she slept in my arms the whole time I was examining her.
Matthew took these pictures...

What a rough night she had.... is there a special treat for chickens besides just scratch and some rest?
Well, we are out the door to the beach house to fly lady the cloud ceiling in the front room.
See ya later!

Poor Jar Jar! She needs to camp out, watch movies, and eat popcorn this weekend.
To: Overtaxed
LOL Yeah...bless her...she is out like a light in the second picture...put her chin down on my arm and went to sleep.
