New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Oh, no! Glad she's ok.
So am I...thank you, Father...she looked dead. She was just hanging limp upside down.
And the thing is, we left the coop open last night and she could have been like that all night.
Ugh...I'm amazingly shook up. My mind just flashed how I was gonna deal with this with Joshua especially...Jar Jar is his chicken and he's so sensitive...
Poor Jar Jar! Glad she's OK...I can remember a chickadee getting a toe caught in a piece of screen we had on the porch when I was little...we got it free, but it died right after, we think of shock. We named it and gave it a funeral and made a headstone and even put a little tree by its grave. It's still there, I think.
But that would be a HORRIBLE thing to have happen to a pet!
I'm having a sort of very, very thick soup with chicken and beans and jalapeno and lots of vegetables...summer squash, mostly, 'cause it was on sale. Put a bunch of cheese on top, too. It's good! Kinda spicy, though. I think I overdid that a bit...
I haven't had popcorn in forever. Only thing is, the kind I REALLY like is that sweet and salty stuff...kettle corn and the like. I'm sure that's wayyyy off limits.
In another five pounds, I've decided I'm gonna have one treat of some sort, though. Just trying to figure out what. Probably a chocolate malt.
How horrid for her to be caught like that! Glad she is saved now.
Wow, it is just pouring down rain here now. You can see the puddles in the drivway on the Hobbitcam.
I'm gonna keep an eye on her today...don't know what I'd do if she got sick or something...but I can at least keep an eye on her.
I am actually shaking!
We have (a little) sun for the first time in what seems like WEEKS! I'm hoping it holds out. Gonna take a half day tomorrow to get a headstart on the outdoor work.
I would be too!
You go, girl!
I'm weighing in tomorrow. I have a number I'm hoping to see...
My real goal is still size 8 by August. I've been woring down from a large 12 to a small 12. Hoping to be in size 10 by the end of June. I've got a pair of size 10 jeans I try on every so often, to see how far I have to go. They go over my hips, but zipping them is not possible yet.
I'll probably be a 12 even if I go another five or ten pounds below my goal weight...just my luck, I guess! Even back when I was fifteen or sixteen and weighed under 130, I STILL wore a 12. But if I can be a trim 12 instead of a flabby 12, that won't be so bad. Still bugs me in some ways...but such is life. I don't think my skeleton alone could wear anything smaller than MAYBE an 8.
I have a pair of 12 jeans that are very tiny...almost like they were mislabeled. But I used to be able to wear them. Now, I can get 'em on and even button them, but only barely, and I can't sit down in them. ;-) I have that one pair of 10s that I can wear, but they aren't really a 10, I don't think.
I'm still losing about a pound a week, though, so I should be able to at least make THAT goal, barring any long stalls!
Heh...maybe when we both get to our goal, I can visit and we can go little-red-dress shopping. ;-)
Well...I like just about any sandwich...except cheap bologna and liverwurst. Like the expensive German bologna, though. :)
I suppose I could pack Sunday-go-to-Meetin'. Kinda hate to keep you folks from church.
I'm planning on leaving at least by 3:00 on Monday. That gets me back around 8:00. You know what Gandalf says: "Don't travel at night!"
All right, let's plan that! Then we can go out on the town somewhere and knock 'em dead.
I think, based on my mother's shape, that the best I can look is with a size 8. We have basically the same body, except she's got twenty pounds less of it (and, um, I have a better bust). But it's not the size, really, it's how you look. If I get to 8, I shouldn't have much flab, and that's what I really want.
Yeah, I'm flying out Monday...flight leaves at 1:30.
I'll add little-red-dress to my budget for Colorado Moot... ;-)
Remember, the only budget you need is airfare and spending money!
We'll get not-too-pricy, hot-chicks-on-a-budget, little-red-dresses.
Sneak...
