Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Actually, (and surprisingly) Kate and Leopold was a pretty good movie!

We're going out at the end of June, from the 29th to the 3rd. I hope I can find somewhere nice to live.

Kate & Leopold is cute, and not just because of Hugh Jackman, either (though, admittedly, he's really easy to look at... drool...)

You should show us pictures of your gardenin' sometime! Well, I'm just gettin' started, so I'm a little embarrassed. But here's a small view.

Well, it's got me curious about why there is a "Duke of Albany", so I'm watching it for a bit.

WN; Gypsy girl has won quite a place in our hearts; I think she barked about 8 times in two months. She has a very high pitched bark for a dog her size. Yup, she is keeper alright. Both the cats are quite taken with her as well.

Thanks very much for posting the letter; I think some P/B's can be arranged without delay.

Well, it seems to have worked for the present, the cat returned this evening as LSA was doing a bit of weeding. Gypsy and Lucky played a bit, quite nicely. The cat was raised with a dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback. We shall see if Lucky has decided to continue his good behavior, if so he will be welcome.

The Destructor may need a new screen name, looks like he has joined the fold, er. Alliance of the free peoples of Middle Earth. :-)

Very well done, this is the side yard view, correct? :-)

SuziQ, nice save on my funkle there :-)
To: osagebowman
I didn't want to try anything in the front yard until I get the hang of it.

Advance virtual view alert: Bakshi LotR will be premiering on Cartoon Network tomorrow. Anyone going to be up to it? [He says as Hobbit Hole members go scurrying to hide at the name of the Evil One :)]
