Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Evenin Ramius- actually never had one; When we first moved into our house (needing TLC-lol) we gutted the kitchen and rebuilt; when LSA didn't want to use the two burner hot plate, we walked to DQ. Ate a lot of DQ burgers, havent had one since.
Now SONIC, #2 with Jalepenos, that's goood.

sometimes I will also dream about all the dead pets buried in my backyard coming back to life. I don't worry about that. But when we get these trees out we want to go I'll have to reposition Sam's cable run (until I get the fence built). I have to do it strategically because he likes to dig.
I know how far down our cat is. But I also know the previous owners have something back there as well.

No kidding. They had a plastic fence and flowers on it when we moved in. It was the first thing to go.
On the other hand, the daffodils do really well back there.

m-i-l says they're okay in the ground here. we're in zone 7. She kept hers in the ground in Greensboro and that's not that much further south. We'll see. At least I know I got some nice Missouri cannas comin' up.

What was the apartment like? Well... the roof leaked really bad. Like garden-hose bad. It got worse after that.

I am stuffed! This is the 4th night in a week I've been to an all-you-can-eat buffet. I've eaten more in the last week than the whole month before that! UGH!

We watched Shrek also. My dad didn't want to see it - he'd never seen it - but he started laughing thirty seconds in and now he's going with us to the movies tomorrow. Huzzah! A whole-family day! Other than Sunday Go To Meetin', that rarely happens anymore.

I'm not behavin' *too* badly just yet. Behavin' is an interesting word. I am always behaving. Just not always the way my mama would want me to. :-)
