Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Morning, all!
Been kind of an annoying morning around here. After messing around with every setting I knew how to mess with (and getting rather frustrated in the process), I had to call D-Link tech support to confirm that yes, our router has indeed died. They're gonna send us a new one, but till then, we have to rough it - only one of us at a time can be online.
The timing kind of stinks, cause I have a web development job I'm working on for about another week, so I'm gonna have to monopolize a lot of the internet time. Oh well, I guess we'll make do.

Oh, no fun! Is this a wireless router? We've had the worst luck with those, have to buy a new one every 18 months or so. But.... it's worth it. Since I'm not paying!

Nope, not a wireless.
I used to have a nice Linksys wireless router but it got lost during one of my moves.

Rouged Rogues who jump out at me saying "Avast"?
I laugh at them! Deep, fulsome laughter I bestow upon them. An they persist, I chase them anon, brandishing such a stave as I may grasp.

I hope a dashing swordsman dressed in black shows up to rescue me.
If not, I run away screaming.

LOL!
Uh oh.
Don't ask where some of this stuff comes from, it just pops into my head at times.
And I have to write it down.
Kinda like the question a few threads back of where I get my taglines from.
They just appear.
Chase him down with a stave, or wait for a dashing swordsman to show up.
