Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh no!! I don't think we have time for lunch. She has to be in Temple for work at 1. She's gettin' ready now. I think we're gonna have to leave here and go straight to Temple. :-(

Did a nice long brisk walk last night. If choir is cancelled, I'm lifting tonight. Hopefully I can get into a nice pattern of at least three cardios and two lifts per week. I have some time in the evenings now, so...

That'd be a good pattern. That's pretty much what I've been trying to stick to, except I build my resistance training into my cardio sessions so I can get them both out of the way at once.
How come choir might be cancelled?
Speaking of exercise, gotta go get my morning stance training in now, so I'll be back in about a half hour.

For one, we have flood warnings for that area. The highway runs right next to a creek that has been known to overflow.
Plus the director was only getting back in town today and she might just call it off.

You could start a new company, give us all jobs paying six figures and move us to a tropical climateYeah! What Corin said. There's lots of high-techy folks in the Hobbit Hole. You oughta be able to think of something!

It's funny. There is a LoTR desk calendar on the other pastor's desk in their office. She said he's a big Tolkien fanatic, so she understood the story of how we met here a little.
We'll ask! - ecurbh can help her pronounce it.

Crap! The trolls and Rasputin have been at "senior management retreat" yesterday and today. Just found out they may come back in the office this afternoon.
How the @#$% am I gonna sneak out early?
