America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
In the Criminal Party debates, Senator Kerry let loose this gem in response to a question "Is God on America's side [in the war on terror]": Well, God will -- look, I think -- I believe in God, but I don't believe, the way President Bush does, in invoking it all the time in that way. I think it is -- we pray that God is on our side, and we pray hard. And God has been on our side through most of our existence.
Senator Kerry is NOT sure whether God is on our side?
Aristide has fled Haiti, and rebel troops are positing themselves to move into the Capital. The head of the country's Supreme Court has taken over as President, as called for by Haiti's Constitution. The rebel leader has said that he acknowledges Alexandre as the head of the government.
A deal has been struck with Paksitan that would allow United States troops to operate in a part of that country where The Evil One is believed to be hiding.
The Return of the King wins 11 awards at the oscar, including Best Picture and Best Director.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

((((Dolly)))), thanks for coming to the concert yesterday! Really was good to see you, and meet J. He's such a nice young man. Fun at Panera's, too. We talked a few moments with our friends after you left, and then we made it home too.

Neets - our friends brought over ribs last night and they weren't nearly as good as your recipe. Not even close.

Speaking of God and country, I had a chance the other day to explain to a friend - a fairly typical, accept-what-the- media-feeds-you person - the importance of God in our form of government.
.....Somehow the subject came up: she recounted how another friend of hers ACTUALLY believed that our country was based on a belief in God. Oh, the horror of that, was her fairly explicit reaction.
I then surprised her by agreeing with the other friend and went on to explain why, which the other friend had been unable to do.
I told her that our RIGHTS CAME FROM GOD, and that THEY WERE INALIENABLE. Remember that phrase I asked her gently?
Our form of gov't only prohibited the establishment of a state church and refused to PRESCRIBE forms of religion or belief, BUT that our form of Govt. was based on a belief in God, was Incontestable, and Absolutely necessary for our protection.
I hope she thinks about this....

"John Kerry gets very uncomfortable when he's asked about God doesn't he?? " Prairie, I love the way you put that.... so true, so very true!

Well, Super Tuesday has come to Ohio...the # of Tv ads the past week has exploded. I'd skip tomorrow's event, but there's an important Library issue to support.

"....from a person whose favorite New Testament book is Job?" Is Kerry's favorite book Job, or were you making a joke here? I would love to know that little tid-bit is factual. Will make for a great discussion point if so.

Morning Molly.. the Vivalldi Amen & Haydn were exceptional.. I am sorry we were late & missed the beginning. But the US Air FOrce Jazz Band was also amazing. We left Hudson at 4 & the half hour ride thru the valley took 30 minutes.
My young friend John -(age 16 ---Yea, Just call me Demi :) - is checking options for post high school and Akron U (where Mr Molly "hangs out") is his first choice.. a stint with US military in one of their "bands" is a possibility.
I haven't done pix.. will send to you first for your approval before posting here.
All, She was gorgeous in the dress....she glowed just like the numerous college women that she shared the stage with.
She is pretty modest/shy about picture posing however.. I got a "little knee" to peek out from the front slit *G* . She has a long slender build that is model like & can wear most outfits wonderfully
Loved the academy awards.. for those who didn't see it, the opening was edited films from the years contenders with Billy Crystal added.. one of the BEST scenes was a short clip of Michael Moore spouting at last years awards & one of the huge elephant like monsters from ROTK squashing him with the foot. OUTSTANDING.
Everyone I thought would win, did. I saw all of the movies up (except the 5 foreign nominated)..
This was a good year of good movies. IMHO. Mystic River was a powerful movies, as was 21 grams, monster, Master & comm, Pirates...
I don't think Hollywierd will be able to deny Passions rights to recognition & nomination for awards ...at least nominations. Winning is another thing.

Welcome to ATRW. It's good to see you posting here.
Now, you have immediately put yur finger on one my weakest areas. I remember reading that, but now that you ask me for my source, I can't cite it. ATRW, help me out. Didn't Kerry say that as this campaign began to heat up, something about coming south and sharing his religous beliefs more? Or am I remembering another candidate and if so which one?

We are fine, kassie. Thank you.
Major decisons regarding my mil are on the horizon, though. Hubby's cousin is relentless. All on his own he made the decision to discard a snowblower that was given to Hubby's Dad by us. Granted..it needed repair, but Hubby said he knew what the problem was and that he could fix it with no problem because it was a minor thing.
I am livid, I think. After seeing Passion twice seems as though things like that don't matter as much.

It's hard to deal with family when one makes choices and doesn't ask for feed back from other family members.
After seeing The Passion... mom has decided to forgive all her "step" children. It's sad. They never liked mom in the first place, and if given half a chance, they'll bleed her dry.
