The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I knew that little bugger was still in there watchin' me and gestering with its little legs. It haunted me. LOL! But I know what you mean! Ugh...I hate insects. And the flying kind creep me out less (usually) than the crawling kind. Heebie jeebies indeed!

I miss her too! We've got a good newbie (Fedora), but I still miss Ruthy!
I was so hoping I'd get to meet her at Entmoot!
And now, everyone is here and I gotta go. Steve will be home soon and I want to get my bath before he gets in and read.
sigh...
See you all in the morning.

What, you haven't got LotR memorized, down to trivial mosquito details? Heathen!I bet Pippin and Sam would take issue with the position that being eaten alive by midges and neekerbreekers is trivial when you're travelling through the Midgewater Marshes! :)

That's why I like reading about adventures instead of going on them... I'm not the one who gets eaten alive.

Did you know Yahoo has dominoes in addition to backgammon? hehehehehe I've played this game called "Poker", but I've only played a couple of times... and I'm not very good at it...

Watched more Scrapped Princess tonight. It's...convoluted. But then, that's pretty par for the course where anime is concerned. I'm up to the episode where the OTHER "Scrapped Princess" is introduced. Things are getting odder by the second. What anime do you watch?

Ya know, I musta not encountered the same bugses you guys did at Entmoot. I mean...I got a few no-see-um bites, but nothing any more serious than that. At first I thought that's what everyone was talking about...but obviously not. Guess I ain't sweet enough for whatever they were.
Either that or years of dealing with lots n' lots of black flies and mosquitoes makes me seem picked over compared to some... ;-)

Various stuff. My brother is more into it than I am...I kinda got caught up in it at Entmoot - there was one group that watched anime pretty much every evening (and late into the night, for that matter). Right now I'm watching a series called Scrapped Princess. It's very strange...but then, that's typical, I guess. The way they mix technology with magic never ceases to amaze me. Usually we have EITHER advanced technology OR magic in films or books...not both.

I really can't figure what these things are. They do eventually heal up and go away. I had dozens that are all gone now, but it's like there was a progression from no-see-um to small bump to big bump to big red massively itchy dot to big red dot with black scab... then it heals over and goes away. But it's like there are some that only could have started after I got back... that's the odd part.
To: JenB
Just wanna say that I did NOT provide the recipe.
