The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

socialistic studies, probably never been taught quite the way you teach it either. heh heh... you don't know the half of it... they were gettin' ready ready fer their constitution test... I twisted 'em good... the icing on the cake wuz when I asked, "what amendment contains the clause for the seperation of church and state?"... heh heh "It ain't in there!"... I railed about the second ammendment too... I also asked just where in the constitution it said the feds are supposed to be in the schools, providin' welfare, medicare and social security... had 'em reelin'... but they were thinkin'...

The only "Die Fledermaus" I'm familiar with is the opera by Johann Strauss.

[snicker] Love yer' style.
Those little snotnosed punks probably have never had "authority" dealt to them in an "authoritative" fashion. You realize of course that you just undid years of "time-outs" that won't work again? Of course... they never worked before either...

Neekerbreeker???Is this some cute language that only twins understand, or what?
It's hobbit-talk that only hobbits and midges can understand :) See Fellowship Book I Chapter 11, "A Knife in the Dark", pp. 246-247 :)

I got my new computer. It's very sleek, but WinXP is a little patronizing. Still, I'm happy. Congrats! I think you'll like XP once you get used to it, though it can be a bit TOO secure and such. And I usually immediately take off the bubbly look on the menus and dialog boxes.
Watched more Scrapped Princess tonight. It's...convoluted. But then, that's pretty par for the course where anime is concerned. I'm up to the episode where the OTHER "Scrapped Princess" is introduced. Things are getting odder by the second.

'Zat from the show? I've actually never seen it.Yes :) In the pilot episode or thereabouts, the Tick decided he needed a battlecry, and he was looking around for inspiration, and happened to be eating some cereal (or something like that), so he suddenly cried "I know: Spoon!" And the rest is history :)
To: RosieCotton
Yes, seriesly weird stuff. But good.
XP and I are getting along just fine, now that I've told it to connect me to our wireless network EVEN IF it's not properly secured blah-blah-blah.
