The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yes, but there were three posts, so it won't take long. Wow, I even got caught up.

WOOHOOOO! Hey Wneighbor! We got another Tension Tamer drinker, here, sis!I was really feeling a lot of stress a while back and Wneighbor suggested I drink the stuff. Excellent stuff!
Yep, it's good stuff! I'd been hooked on Excedrin Migraine aspirin for years (double doses four times a day) and was trying to get off it. A friend of mine who knows herbalism told me about Tension Tamer and I tried it, and I've been off the migraine aspirin ever since. It seems to work well enough as long as I get enough sleep (my migraines are caused mainly by tension from when I miss sleep, plus sinus congestion; the Tension Tamer helps with the stress part, for the congestion when it gets bad I either drink another type of tea or eat a lot of hot peppers or salsa, LOL!). Occasionally if I miss sleep I still get a migraine, and then if it's bad enough instead of Tension Tamer I use Yogi Tea Head-Aid tea(www.yogitea.com), which seems to be a little stronger. Also right now for taste rather than herbal properties I'm trying True Blueberry Tea by the same company that makes Tension Tamer, Celestial Seasonings.

Sigh... gotta pack now for my trip Wednesday... maybe I'll have time for writing afterwards.Talk to ya when you get done packing! How long you going to be gone?--think you said three days, right?

The knives are part of the Hobbit Hole troop support effort.Neat!

There, done. I stuffed two outfits into my backpack. And then carefully put in two novels in such a way as to not rumple their covers.
I'll be there Wednesday, Thursday and come back Friday... might be interesting, just wish I didn't have to be away from FR in that time.

LOL That's another characteristic of the Hobbit Hole...we throw a lot of recipes around. We've toyed with the idea of a Hobbit Hole recipe book, even. That's a really good idea! Would it include recipes based on actual Hobbit cuisine?--I think it'd be neat to have recipes based on what Bilbo served to the Dwarves at the Unexpected Party, etc. After all, Hobbits are fond of food and would presumably be excellent chefs.

I usually skip the chili powder and throw in a cayenne. The hotter the better as far as I'm concerned--I like my food spicy :)

Three posts? I see at least a hundred. Going back to morning now...just got outta the shower. Feeling kinda depressed about this whole exercise thing.

Catnip and lemon balm tea put me out like a light. I don't have migraines so I don't know if they're good for that.

I'm having a "tension tamer" of sorts as well... tho' mine is likely a little different... :-)So that's what happened to the wine from Post #8,416--and we all thought it got cooked off--LOL!

He's really funny...takes a simple task and is so proud of the job he does on it.Good quality to have! Bet his schoolwork will be top-notch :)
To: RosieCotton
Just joking... there weren't many posts today, that's all.
What's got you depressed? It sure is hard, but I really feel I'm going to get there eventually.

I swear that clock speeds up when I'm walking and slows down when I'm running. Yours does that, too, huh? :)
To: JenB
That was a quick pack! :) What two novels are you taking?
To: Fedora
The last half of "The Naked God" - Peter Hamilton - and a collection of Zelazny short stories. Good stuff.

Feeling kinda depressed about this whole exercise thing. How come?
To: Fedora
It ain't wine... and it ain't tea... it is:
Ah, yes... 10 year old single-barrel sippin' stuff. [sip]
To: Overtaxed
Catnip and lemon balm tea put me out like a light.Thanks--I sometimes have a problem falling asleep, so I'll make a note of that!
To: JenB
How do you like Zelazny? He's on my list of authors I need to read. I've been using John Clute's Science Fiction: The Illustrated Encyclopedia as a guide to work through the major SF authors and Zelazny's an author on my to-read list. Last story I read recently was Theodore Sturgeon's "Killdozer!" which was pretty good. Before that I read M.P. Shiel, The Purple Cloud.
To: Fedora
Long story. Mostly I'm just impatient, and I found out this weekend that I have a long further to go than I thought I did.
