The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

It's Ruby Queen (SE) from Burpee. You're supposed to plant it with another sweet corn variety so they'll pollinate properly.

Somehow a corn called "Bloody Butcher" doesn't sound all that appealing...
Is red corn sweeter than the normal kinds or something?

You did set some of your mint out last year didn't you? I'm gonna have to thin out that mint again when it comes back now. It spreads here like you wouldn't believe!

But, I don't seem to be in too big a rush... LOL

I didn't think to transplant any back indoors in fall. I'm hoping it comes back. I think it should, especially as it grew like crazy and is in a warmish place...but we'll see. I'm hoping...

You never are sweetie!
To: RosieCotton
It tastes sweeter to me. The longer you leave it on the stalk, the redder and sweeter it gets.

If I were sick, a hot tub would probably feel real nice.
I just repaired the layin' box. It had an open end that didn't hurt nuthin when the box was full of hay...but when the hay started running low, the eggs rolled out. See? Here's a picture of Jar Jar in the layin' box...see that open end right under that 1x2 cross-board?
Anyways, I slipped a thin piece of plywood down to close off that open end (It was a tight fit, had to pound it in with a brick and that got all the girls upset!), and then filled it with pine shavings. Made for a right comfy layin' box, if you ask me!

Good morning ALL!
Gidget just yacked my breakfast up in the living room.

I bet it comes back. It is a plant that is sold here with warning labels about keeping it in confined areas so it doesn't get out of hand. I bet even your sub-zero winter doesn't kill it.
Although, Myranda's dad was very good at killing it out. He was always mowing it down and I couldn't keep it for anything! He did that with my dill too!

Hello there! It is great to see you and the chicks are doing good and things are normal around your home.
To: PurpleQ
Ha! Then where'd I get that Taz reputation? Myranda and Jill would definitely disagree with you! LOL

Mornin'...
Well, it's a fine morning here in SF. I think maybe I'll wander down ta the courthouse and get a marriage license and then marry my laptop, or maybe my coffee cup. I can't decide. I love them both dearly.
To: Wneighbor
The poofy bed was wonderful. It's hard to get out of it, though.
